The Process Review Panel for the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (PRP) is an independent panel established by the Chief Executive to review and advise the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) on the adequacy and consistency of the internal procedures and operational guidelines in respect of MPFA’s regulatory activities. Its function is not to review the merits of MPFA’s decisions on individual cases. The PRP submits its annual reports to the Financial Secretary.
The PRP was formerly known as the Process Review Panel in relation to the Regulation of Mandatory Provident Fund Intermediaries, which was established in November 2013 to review MPFA’s internal procedures in respect of the regulation of MPF intermediaries. The renaming and current scope of PRP’s work took effect from 1 November 2021.
